hey guys its been over a year since i posted here and i hope to be going into a university computer science program next year so iwant ot learn C++. But i was wondering i was thinking of making some 3d models in turing, but i cant really think of how that would be done. Ie drawing the z axis.. anyone have an example engine that they allow people to see.. jsut to get me started.. thanks

sorry that its uncommented, but you can have the source.

it has all the basics you'd expect. distance shading, zoom(pgup, pgdn), displacement (arrow keys) and the fake 3d effect.

nothing happens when i run your engine... it says the file is loaded but then nothing shows up but a black screen. and also the frame rate is very low, usually around 3 fps for a 400 polygon model. even though the fps is low nothing shows up anyways.

mine is slow. I'm trying to rewrite it in java, but i'm still trying to get a hand of the graphics.
for most renderers you'll need some .raw files. still got those?

Hmm, a basic 3d world sounds like fun, I'm now tempted to make one... Somthing simple anyway, like Wolfenstine.
