any ideas on how to do collision detection so the guy doesnt walk into the water on this? I know the world map is crappy but i dont care how it looks at the moment.

if statmets... if ur x,y postion = to end of maps x,y cordiantes then ur x= +ur sprite size then what it was

i need it to stop b4 he gets to the water not the end of the map

Well, just use whatdotcolor, when the left arrow is pressed, check the set coordinate on the left side of the imaginary square (in which your character picture is) and if its not green, then don't decrease the x value.

ok thats what i was thinking, i wasnt sure if there was a better way..
Also do u know y i have that little edge of different shades of green on my world map right b4 the land changes to water?
