What is it you are trying to achieve?
Using Turing properly, without crashing or freezing

What is the problem you are having?
Turing crashes or freezes for long periods of time when saving files. This happens with Open Turing also, but far less often.

Describe what you have tried to solve this problem
-Using Open Turing
-Copying it to a text file in Notepad and then saving almost never, if never, crashes or freezes.
-Saving to different directories, drives, removable drives, and network drives.

Please specify what version of Turing you are using
Turing 4.1.1
Open Turing 1.0.1 interpreter based on Holt Software's Turing 4.1

Is this the same for all kinds of Turing files? E.g. short files vs. long files? Is there a crash message / log anywhere, that could give a better hint as to what happened?

almost never

Are you saying that rarely Notepad would crash on saving a file as well?
