What is it you are trying to achieve?
Please try to clean this up for me... its way longer than it should be...

Please specify what version of Turing you are using
4.1

P.S.

I just started Turing in school this semester.

Ya man procedures will help u a load!! btw follow the IPO system (input , process, output) basically get the input in 1 proceeder , make all the process in 1 procedure and all the output of the program last ! Razz thats a lot of code and would easier to fix if u put it in IPO format!

mr.guild, procedures dont help, they just make it more ''advanced'', unlejss u dont repeat lines the only person it helps is your teacher. And he only asks you to do this so you make his job easier. Do me a favor and let that lazy bastard do the work the hard way. Tw iz rippin what school you go to? I did the exact same thing 3 years ago, in grade 9

Really? They don't help? So if he repeats the same code 50 times in a row, and you're saying procedures don't help? The only reason you use them IS because they're helpful. It takes repeated code and compresses it into one line.

Why do you think he's a lazy bastard? He spent time writing code over 1800 lines long. Whether or not it was good, it shows some commitment.

Also, how the hell will he discover procedures if no one ever tells him about it? That's like if i ask "whats an if statement?" You're going to say "DOn't tell him guys, he's just trying to get you guys to do his work". I don't think you thought this out through.

Velocity - you say procedures don't help?!? Then you are single handedly the most ignorant programmer on this website I have yet to see. Raknarg is right - procedures would be VERY helpful for this mortgage program, as he repeats the same peice of code multiple times.

Also, you have got a screwed up idea of 'lazy' if he went and wrote 1800 lines of code.

Next time, make sure you know what you're talking about, or don't say anything at all.

Well put.

Also, all Mr Guild was doing was giving him a general suggestion he could use for his programs. He didn't tell him how to do it. He didn't write it for him. He just gave a slightly more detailed idea than smool

well maybe if you thoroughly read afterr the first comma i said unless u repeat the same lines of code... Dont argue without backup.

That reads as "procedures don't help, they only help your teacher if you don't repeat the same chunk of code", which put even more simple reads as "procedures are only good for helping your teacher when you repeat everything once". I am disgusted

Once again, learn what your trying to argue about or don't say anything at all.

In fact, there are more uses to it than simplifying repeated code, such as recursion, which does the same thing over and over again, but does it differently each time. That is more difficult to pull off without procedures.

Not to mention modules and classes that you use, such as the Draw and Math module.
