So I worte a program in Turing and I'd like to make it a stand alone program.
I go to Run -> Generate stand-alone program
I create that file on my desktop.
I go to open it and this is the error that comes up:
"Bad object file header in "program.exe".(2)

Anyone know why or how to fix it?

Which version of Turing are you using? 4.1a does not compile code correctly into executables.

4.1.1
the free one
is there a more current version that I can get for free so that I can have a .exe file?

The same problem appeared when I used 4.1

It's probably still opening in 4.1.1. Before you compile, click 'about' and read the version. you have to open turing 4.1, then load your project. If you just click the t file, it will open in 4.1. Hmm, I'm going to put this into my tutorial...

Perhaps you should make a sticky about this, tony

That's a good point, that happened to me before...
Realized it too before getting too mad.
