Has anyone gotten creative and made a way to download pictures (or other binary files) off the internet?

You arn't allowed to read from a Net.OpenURLConnection () incompatible stream type.
And Net.OpenConnection () I dont think supports it either.

Is there a person out there that can help me?

the easiest way would be to save the picture off the internet and then to open the saved file. or you could just open a web page with Turing. What you're asking to do is probably possible - it would involve accessing the C Drive, but I can really see no point to doing that when you could just do one of the mentioned methods above.

I don't think that's what he wants. He wants it to be automated so that the computer automatically downloads the image and saves it. Maybe he doesn't want the user to know. If this is the case, I can't help. I'm a noob at networking in Turing. If you need more help I would contact agnivohneb because he made NetChat 5.0 although you made something like that as well. Whatever, just try to contact him and see what happens.

Ya, thats what i want.
I want a program where when a run it it checks websites to see if it has the newest files then downloads them automatically to the directory i say. I have everything but the physical downloading of the files. Someone a few days ago said they had something like this and i was wondering if i could get either the source code or a description of how they did it.
