Turing is only capable of interfacing through the parallel port (which by the way is disappearing of most computers built these days). This parallel port was used by printers but now with USB, that port has become obsolete more or less.

Well I remember momop making a tutorial to using joy pads and joysticks but I do not recall if they were USB or not let me check.

Nope, it would be cool though and for some reason while reading his tutorial I though to myself "When I make my RPG I will have a setting to change controls and use my Xbox 360 controller and everyone would danse......."

Anyway here is the link to his tutorial if you wanted it.

i understand what ll of you have said but my thought is that if turing is able to recodnize a usb mouse why wouldnt it be able to intercae with that mouse
instead of having the buttons you can pu light that go into the buttons and what not

Turing is not controlling the interface from the mouse to the usb to your computer... your operating system(windows, linux, bsd, etc...) is. Your operating system is creating a pointing device based on the drivers for your mouse device. Turing does not actually even recognize that the mouse is from USB it just recognizes it as a pointing device cause that is what your operating system is telling Turing.

The reason you cant easily implement another USB device is that Turing has a lot hard coded (unable to edit), it may actually be possible to do however using a hacked parallelport driver and using parallel port commands... however I would not recommend this Smile.
