Help needed with crazy jumping sprite! Thanks!

Hey there everyone. I have my little kirby sprite, and he's moving just fine but he's not eating/sucking in things so well. When I hit the 'x' button he's supposed to eat. He eats, however, the sprite jumps forward to the furthest movement barrier I've set up. In the code I didn't change the x or y values so I'm not sure why he's jumping all over the place.

Last time I had this problem I took away a delay and it didn't jump, but when I try that now it just jumps faster. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks so much!

Sorry, I also forgot to mention that when he's done eating he returns to his former position on the screen.
