Do you think if I try to open a file/folder in Turing (that is restricted by my school's security) will it open? Or will it be blocked as usual, my school uses "NetSupport" security. |

Depends on How Secure The Program is, Easiest Way Is To Check, But you shouldn't be doing this anyhow those restrictions are put there for a reason. |

Netsupport is pretty secure, they use it for the entire DSBN, and probably everywhere in Ontario. Depending how smart your admins are, you can easly get the password for netsupport school. But netsupport doesn't block usage of the command prompt so you can always open stuff that way. |

I made a file browser once and I was able to see everything on the C drive even though it was restricted. I could copy files and execute them. I'm sure it could have deleted them too. However, I'm not sure if you could connect to the server through Turing (you would have to look through the NET module). |

Turing access files much like you whould if you where using the comand promt to. So if the file resrtictions are done corectly and permsions are set on floders and files on the server or in an admin acount in the pc it will not work.
However if they are doing somthing silly like blocking it by stoping right clicking, displaying of the drive in mycomputer/exporler or by blocking it in the address bar of expoler then it will work in turing. Thess methods of blocking things by limiting the use of the windows mouse, keyborad or display API are flawed but for some reason popular in schools.
If the file/floder is on a network dirve and set up right it will be extreamly hard to get access to and turing is not going to help you. However if it is sotred localy on the computers hard drive there is a 100% chance that there is some way to get to it. Tho this way maybe be complicated depending on the way they have things set up and behond the scop of turing. |
