my teacher once showed me a way to make turing run slowly so that you can see it go through the code, does anyone know how to do that

its that the top of the turing window, i tink its called 'step'

under file/preferances go to editor window, there will be a little check box labeled "Always show debugger menu". Select that.
A 2 new options will show up next to the run buttons and such.
select "Trace execution" then when ever you run the program it will trace it.

I hope this is what you were talking about
