How come no one on the forums has told me about View.UpdateArea? I found it when I was looking through the help files. It will be very helpful, search it in the turing help. Its really good. I think I will impliment it into my programs..
Put it in turing help because its just to help others? I unno. Post questions and ill help. |

It would, but it would be very short. Unless it had lots of examples (How to do a circle ext)
Or you could do the enitre Update. Which includes the Window.Update.... |

nah, all you need to do is:
1.Start a new Thread (give title etc.)
2.Introduce the command
3.Tell them to press F10
4.Final Comments and Credits |

View.UpdateArea is just like View.Update isnt it
except it doesnt update teh whole screen like View.Update, but instead update the rectangular area that one selected...
I think that is what it is |

Well, if you insist on making it longer, I suppose you could write us a detailed tutorial on backbuffering (offscreenonly) including why and we use it, with examples and exaplanation of good loop struction (ie. grouping all your drawing commands together [that includes cls] followed by a your one and only View.Update [or View.UpdateArea, but you can have more than one of them]).

Maybe I will add it to my list of Tutorials im writing lolz ^^;
All of them will have to wait, programming contest Tuesday! I have to prepare, my team has no chance of winning but I want to still do well. I have a team of all grade 10 programmers, me included. me and three others, I gotta practise...Real bad. Its meant for 12 so |

Not sure. I don't even know where it is. I will have more details tommorow, like where it is and what its called. Teams of 4 with 1 computer solving difficult questions. Thats basicly all the info we got today, I will get more tommorow. Its also on tuesday... |
