Need help with putting gravity into my game!

What is it you are trying to achieve?
I'm trying to make my objects (players) have gravity so they fall if there not standing on something and when they fall onto an object they can stand there
and if possible to tell me how to make my object jump with the gravity. and i want the speed to be not too fast.


What is the problem you are having?
I just don't know how to do gravity and every time i ask no one gives me a straight up answer and ask for my coding that I'm working with, which you don't need ...

tried searching for an answer but couldn't get any so i had nothing to do except ask for help.

Nobody gives a straight-up answer, because there are plenty of tutorials on the subject (look for a jumping tutorial, it's the same thing). Learn to use the search feature so conveniently integrated into compsci.ca.

Try searching the forums for gravity... I know for a fact a gravity tutorial is there, because I have read it. Please make sure and search before posting a question.

Perhaps the website should incorporate that feature where when you start to type your question it pops up similar questions, except we go do it with tutorials and stuff. Would be very useful.
