i have a computer engineering project due really soon and i wasn't there for that day, so i was wondering if someone could help me? i cant ask him for help since he reduces marks so pretty much if i ask him, then i just lost all marks that i would of gained.
what its suppose to do is to lift a 100 gram load from the ground position to a height of one foot (12 inches) in two stages. In the first stage one of the elevators will lift the load to the height of 6 inches from the ground level it started at. At this time the second elevator will be waiting at the 6 inch height. When the elevator that is holding the weight gets to the 6 inch mark the weight will be transferred to the second elevator. Once the second elevator has the weight on its platform it will carry the weight up to a height of one foot (12 inches). At this time the platform will wait exactly 5 seconds and then return the weight to the 6 inch height. At this point the weight will be transferred back to the first platform. The first elevator will then return to the starting position of ground level. At this point the rope/string holding the platform should still be tight.

You forgot to mention what you actually need help with.

That's a really vague question. How 'bout specifically?

code:
parallelput()
there, theres some "code"

I think he wants us to write the code for him. Won't happen though.
You should specify what part of the code you don't understand.
Or people like apomb will give you endless lines of code.

Is this an actual physical elevator that takes Turing code? Is there a special binary format the compiler should have to make code that the platform controls use? Or is this a virtual elevator drawn on the screen? While I understand most of the stated problem, there are many different ways to approach it and without having more details it is nearly impossible to do anything more than be a cheerleader on this other than asking a lot of questions such as how far in terms of programming something is the OP?
