When ever i try to access the turing reference (F10) The screen where the text is supposed to be, just displays an error.
It says : "Navigation to the webpage was cancelled, What you can try: Retype the address"
How do i fix this?
I'm using Windows 7 if thats relevant at all. |

You can just download it from here.
I have had this same problem (Win7) even after downloading this version.
Therefore, I ended up using the nline version: http://compsci.ca/holtsoft/doc/ [/url] |

Sorry for reviving this thread, but does anyone know of a solution to this problem? It certainly has something to do with Windows 7...
It's a real pain in the butt to use the online version :/ |

hmmm...I have windows 7 and it works for me...
Is there a TuringDoc.chm file in Support/Help? or is your copy of Turing installed on the same drive as Windows? then have you tried running Turing as Admin? |

I believe it's a known problem that the documentation file does not exist in some distributions of turing. Not the computer, it just doesnt have it. |

You are right but Win7 doesn't even run the chm available from Compsci |

If you want an offline version of the turing docs, and importantly if it's allowed by compsci's staff, you could get creative and scrape (copy) the help HTML documents into an offline version using a free tool such as httrack website copier, http://www.httrack.com/. Those sorts of tools make copies of websites that are saved to your hard drive. They allow you to browse the site's content from your hard drive without ever connecting to the internet, more or less. |

Weird. You are lucky.

Yup. As well as TuringDoc.chw

Yup.

Strange, to fix the problem, all I had to do was open the .chm file and then uncheck the box for "Always do this check when opening this file" at the Win7 security window. |

Ah, it is probably a security feature that blocks some function of the .chm to prevent malignant code. |
