I am saving my turing file (which works)

as an exe file. I use the generate stand-alone exe file tool and create it, but when i run the newly created .exe

Are you using Turing 4.1.1? If so, try using Turing 4.1 instead (downloads are here), since 4.1.1 had some issues generating a stand-alone.
