I know, It sounds stupid. I cannot compile my own code. This is for two reasons:

1. Turing 4.1.1 doesn't compile and
2. The school copy is so old that much of the stuff I used cannot be compiled there either. If someone has an older version of turing (but not to old) could you tell me, so that I can PM you my code for compilement?

This would be nice, because I need to e-mail this to some people who don't have turing (and thus need a compiled version)

Uploading Pong to here, because msn won't let me e-mail exe or zip files. D**mn security...

If you want to, you can download it, but it's mostly here for my friends...

To my less technical friends, when you download it, click 'save'. Then go to where you saved it and unzip. Then click the icon!

Yet another reason to stop using msn. Has anyone else noticed how they've blocked all youtube.com links last week?

MSN's "security" (sometimes bluntly antitrust) is based on string-matching, so if you want to send an executable you just rename it to anything else.

pong.ex_ would have worked.

Are you talking about MSN Messenger? It hasn't been filtering out anything for me, and I just tested a youtube link a minute ago.

The reason it blocks out exe files is because of the idiots that send virii to people who barely know how to use a calculator. This is easily bypassed by zipping the file (which I have no problem sending, again, I just tested) but those people wouldn't know how to unzip a file anyways.

Don't know how to unzip a file? geez, all you do is double-click and select 'unzip'! And when I send a zip file, it tells me 'could not attatch: too many zip files'

There's only one freaking zip!

Is there any way to upload a zip to facebook?

(I rarely use it, much of it is a mystery to me...)

You can't directly upload a zip to facebook, but there's always this option.

Rename to .zip and unzip it. Razz

edit: oops, lmao, posted it as zip, not jpg.

Hmm...That might actually work...

Doesn't matter now though, I've put this link all over the place!

And now, I'm off to bed.

Yeah, youtube thing was "fixed" shortly after.

Though I believe that you still can't send messages with URIs that include "download.php" and perhaps .info TLDs. There's actually a long list of blocked string patterns somewhere. This is obviously not documented, but gathered through experimentation.
