Hi just wondering if XP is good with dual core. My laptop came with Vista (I know that doesn't surprise anyone) and I want to go back to XP as long as I still get to utilize my 2GB of ram and dual core.

I'm running XP with a dual core processor and 2 GB RAM with no issues (Typical Windows problems aside).

 | Does XP see all 2GB? And is the duo core being utilized by XP?
(those are my primary concerns... I know that XP will run on my hardware, I just want to know how well)

p.s. I heard a year or two ago that XP can't see past 1GB. Has this changed in recent updates?

i think XP could allways see 2GB and more. My PC has 2GB ram and dule core cpu and runs xp media center. It uses both of them fine.

It can't quite handle 4 GB RAM, but anything lower it's fine with.
