Heh, you couldnt really get a good mark for that. Its a nice idea but theres really no code involved. You'd either have tons of draw. commands or a loaded picture. Your only code would really be a 'you win' when you click on waldo. Theres not much to mark there. even multiple find screens would still be nothing to mark for a teacher - way to little coding for a final. If your still looking for ideas, theres a 'game suggestion' fourm somewhere around here - in this turing help.

...unless you created the background dynamically (from a collection of images) and placed Waldo randomly.

That would definitely be fine for a gr 10 class, and gr 11 if you made it complicated enough.

yeah but depending on how well the random generation is, waldo may be extremely easy to find or constantly end up behind other objects (Having him last thing to go on would makae it pretty easy to find, standing out from the rest. I guess if you made a crapload of realy small things and one was a bit different to show that its waldo, it'd b a bit harder to find. But seriously, the old waldo books wernt so much about finding him. The scenes hes in are well made and quite random. It'd b cool if made but you gotta put in the thought of how easy it is gunna b to spot him. Confused that'd suck if you can go through like 40 random screens of finding waldo in less than a minute.

Exactly. If I were marking it - it would be largely on the strength of the algorithm. Poor Waldo should be at least partially obscured, but at least 50% visible.

It could be competitively timed for mutliple players as well.

A ridiculous extension would be a 2-player networked competition. Very Happy

lol, ok that might be taking it a bit far. But i could see the problem in 50% obscurity. Well, it at least exeeds my programming skills. Oh, and

Two player? 25 man network with increased difficulty: Find the dark blue pixel!
