You come before God to be judged, and if you have accepted him as your savior and asked him to forgive your sins, you will go to Heaven... otherwise...

actually if you're in a state of mortal sin you will go to hell. if you sinned but it's not that grave you go to purgatory.

how do we know that do_pete has not based the statement on personal observations? I mean.. he could have witnessed someone die and go to hell.

It scres me when people say things like "I have a personal connection with God". Or even worse, "I talk to God".
