might wanna try out Qt. www.trolltech.com

its one of those well designed frameworks.. u know... in the c++ world this is a rarity.

the idea of Qt is to help u develop with ease

Nifty. The signal/slot connection mehanism is vaguely reminiscent of Interface Builder.

I think I still prefer the GTK+ method of using boxes for layout purposes.

Also, I find that "Close" button offensive. There's a perfectly good close button on the window's titlebar. Smile
