First of all... character array is primary way of using strings in C++. You'd have to #include<string> (or string.h depending on compiler) to use them the same way you do in turing.

Now on to the business... CCC's Stage 1 allows to use vertually any language to program solutions and my language of choise would be C++. On account thats what we use in school and thats what I'd have to use if I get into Stage 2.

So I'll be posting solutions for Stage 1 (and later Stage 2) problems in C++ from now on. It is quite easy to convert C++ into Turing - Its the logic that keeps everybody from doing well in computer science.

It'd be great if someone would post their own solutions in turing for some of the problems - or atleast transfer my programs Wink

Good luck

extensive knowledge of C++ is favourable in the second stage. know string manipulation and STL stuff if you plan to use C++

Whaaaaa? and here I thought that I was the only Meng in Canada...(sarcasm noted)

I m really not surprised that there are more Mengs out there, you know, with the 1.4 billion chinese population, at least some immigrants would be named meng.

anyways, get back to topic people, this is the contest section, it's considered more "sacred" than the other section that has already been defiled with spam.
