Update: Myself and Hikaru79 tested out the VOIP stuff and it worked really well. It's comparable to a phone (although I'd say better); and it's WAY better then my cell phone is. Anyways I'm off to work, but have fun experimenting!

I got Google Talk last nite, but I had no one to add.

Yeah, that's point of this thread. Since this is a new service right, so no one has any contact to add. Therefore, we're starting a little community here. I have, hm, 4 people on an 2 waiting. (That would be Martin and Cervantes)
Update: Call quality is awsome. But make sure the other person you're speaking with has headphones, because you really trip yourself out when speaking, since you hear what you just said 2 seconds ago. Make youself sound like an idiot on the mic.

I like their rename option, I think you can do it on msn, its just less accessible.
Now you are: cervantes, cornflake, hikaru, martin, notoroge and wtd. And if coutsos signs on, you know what his name is gonna be ... not coutsos on my list thats for sure
hm... and it automatically sorted everything too.

You hear yourself through the speaker's of the other person's computer, since their mic is picking up their speaker's output. Hence, why both parties should use head-sets if possible. This isn't just about Google. Just, when talking online in general.

Are you implying I'm a lesbian? Sir, I am insulted and demand satisfaction!
Yeah, I might actually try this but I'm not running Linux right now, and when I am I can't get the mic to work... anybody else experience this?
