Since no one has posted theirs yet, and I've finally got my computer in a state which I can live with (very long story...) Here's what my current desktop looks like
** Note that it's windows... in case the background didn't give it away...
** Note2 It'd be great to have a bit more upload space so I could say, leave the screen shot of my desktop from june up too... |

Why don't you just upload these somewhere else? There are many free image hosts...
I would post my desktop, but the background is very plain and there are icons filling up the whole screen . |

This month I tapp-- damn, I already wasted my Circle of Protection joke. Now I have nothing to talk about.
PS: Why not save them as JPGs? |

Your post inspired some testing...
Both .png and .jpg are pretty good formats. It seems that it matters on the pictures on which is better. If you save that .png as a .jpg (best quality/lowest compression) it goes down around 70kb, but then if you save that .jpg as a .png again it will be 140kb larger than the origninal .
Here's a pretty good format I came up with.

Most interesting... I think I'll just stick to my whining for more space and png format... |

Y'know who usually gives out a bit of storage space? Schools. Here at Teh Newbian, we each only get 20MB or so in 1MB chunks (still, would work for upping desktop screenshots), but there's are other resource operated by students that offers anyone webspace with no limit (as long as you don't get carried away). |

Yeah, I *could* put stuff om my 100mb UW account, but it's just so much work... if I even have something important to host I might do that... (notice where my avatar is? )
Back on topic... where are other people's desktops? |

Ugh, she's hot, but, doesn't the white back-drop just burn your eyes? |

I don't mind white backgrounds myself; I much prefer lighter backgrounds to darker ones. You get used to it being bright after a surprisingly short period of time. |

Light ones I don't mind, mine is light. But just, *white*. I'unno, I tried to have one of Jamie Presly, but I couldn't hack it. Had to squint too much because of the white background. It's like staring into a lightbulb.
Update: BTW, any mod wanna get rid of that double post? Kinda, uh, don't know how that happened. |
