This is getting annoying. From now on, any topics entitled 'I need help' or variations thereof will be deleted without warning. Well, unless you count this as a warning.

couldnt you just change the topic name to something more explanitory? actually nevermind ... i just realised that there already is a sticky in the uring forum and somewhat of one in the C++ section ...but c'mon martin, i thought you had the power to at least change the names if you really didnt like them... Thinking

Sure, I could change the names of the posts. The point is, I don't want to. There are nearly 80,000 posts in this forum, and if people aren't going to follow some VERY obvious nettiquite, they can go away.

The problem is that the people who post that will probably never bother to read this.
Could this warning be made part of the agreement they have to accept when they sign up?

Very Happy
The only reason I even knew about the agreement is because I remember shorthair once corrected all of your spelling mistakes in it. So no, people (the ones we're targetting anyway) probably don't read it. Is there a way to give them a default avatar or something that they would notice?

That thing that shorthair corected was the rules not the agreement, the rulse aucatly sate that you can not make topics like "i need help". We used to have a thing where u got 10 bits or somthing for reading the rules but i got ride of that b/c it broke.

i think that adding a link to the rules in the agreement whould not be a bad idea tho i don't think it whould help much.

I think that if the rules said, in large blinking letters 'DON'T MAKE TOPICS TITLED I NEED HELP' it would be great.
