Not unless you're using linux.
And I don't really consider the explorer in windows to be Internet Explorer.

I agree with you Genesis, IE and Windows Explorer are diffrent, but they do sorta act the same.
Oh, and I use firefox, its the best browser I've used.

actually, if u open windows explorer, u'll notice "iexplore.exe" in ur task manager.

I am prity shure even tho it may not be the same exe file that IE and the file browser for windows XP share alot of the same code to the point that they are almost the same other then one has been tweaked for files and one for the web.
That is if they are not the same exe excatly to being with.....

iexplore.exe handles both. Notice how you can go from file view to internet just by typing a url in the address bar (this is the only thing that IE wins on in the war with Firefox). Also, if you have spyware toolbars, chances are they will be on both.

... I dunno... one is EXPLORE.exe, another is iexplore.exe, but explore.exe, I think is in all windows task managers, and if u end task it, ur start bar goes away for a while, and then it re executes. BUT if u type an URL in the windows explorer address bar, it will go to that site... and there's no difference between that and internet explorer.

EXPLORE.exe is the windows shell i think and not the file browser.
