Uh... I have a source for sheet music, but I have to transpose it. I know how to do it by hand, but not very well. Damn me for not paying attention to the theory stuff. Anyway, does anyone know a good program to transpose sheetmusic from Piano to Alto sax? |

Do you just have to bring it up an octave? I think the only way to do that is by hand but I've never really searched for anything to do it... |

the amount you have to shift each note is different for each instrument and also, I think you may need to change the key if the instrument is like a b flat trumpet or whatever... I got lucky and our teacher gave us a sheet showing what changes for each instrument |

I played trombone and I just put the the notes under the other ones in the book. I had to blame it on someone else though. |
