A smowman i made , its not that great i couldnt find a god texture file to use , so i made a quicky in paint , here she is , ( its my 4th week of modeling now, havent had time to learn much )
MAKE SURE THE PICTURE BROWSER IS FULLSCREEN FOR BEST RESULT

the texture actually makes it look better than plain white, kindof neo-snowman if you understand, but i need to uh, buy 3dmax, so can anyone pm me and suggest where to, uh, -buy- it. thanks

dammed little kids don't realize that the snowman doesn't need to be held together with duct tape
did you make the background yourself or import it?

clearly this snowman was rolled with the snow from the middle of the street
rhino is one 3d program you don't hear that much about... anything much different about the kind of modelling you do in it ?

its 3dsmax , without complicaetions or expert rendering , like you click render and it renders , unlike 3dsmax , wich literally gives you 4 menus of options to choose from , its very easy to learn and is a really good starting point , its like turing , it can make good things but dosent have the depth to make them great

cool... I used to be into 3d studio max a fair amount back in grade 9 or 10 and a bit in grade 11 for school

not a bad job, a good way to texture something is to sometimes find a picture of the ground with snow on it and copy a large patch of the snow out fo the pic, paste it as a smaller image, save and use that for a texture.
the snomap needs some bump mapping, but thats not to shabby!
