My computer, after using it for a while, makes strange noises and goes really slow, when I go into task manager, i find these programs that run, and i have no idea what they are, when i run a search, I find them in a folder I cannot see with windows explorer, and its full of exe files that has weird names like aacrljny.exe or rvkgbyqw.exe, once I end task they exe file, my computer goes back to normal, what the heck are these files?

meh, some virus/adware etc....

msconfig if you've got win98/xp/me/shit

or just use regedit, and search for one of those filenames....it should be under

hklm->software->micro->windows->explorer->currentversion->run

or something like that

delete all the keys that have weird names

if it is virus, it wouldn't be killed easy by deleting regedits, but if it is adware or spyware, it would be much easier.

not really true, for 2 of the 5 latest viruses, that regedit key
(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run) was the only method used to acctually load the virus.

and for the other 3 of the 5 it was one of the ways the virus loads...

so this method is effective 40% of the time....and the other 60% it is partially effective, and can lead you to what is acctually being run.

I ran both THAT AND AVG, but this stuff wasn't found, the only reason I was suspicious was because as soon as I end task it, it comes back, that plus the name was weird.

well i still have the funkii unremovable logger "virus".. that some jap guy wrote to conduct some servey of internet browsing.. i mean all you can do is either a) not get it, or get somekind of Firewall to protect your PC, b) scan an infected pc or c) format the pc...

ok some hints.....

When a security warning comes up.... ALWAYS SAY NO!
they are almost always Spyware....

-Adware doing a Full system scan (hard drive + reg) should help
-run 'msconfig' and remove all unknowns from startup
-full system scan with AVG anti virus www.grisoft.com
-use the free version of ZoneAlarm by : www.zonelabs.com (firewall)
-Also the Normal Kazaa Media Desktop is full of Spyware / viruses
-Download the 1000 (constant Participation level) no spyware + wicked program (Kazaa Lite ) au.geocities.com/the_short69/Klite.zip off of my site... (i have it there for backup since some new ones cost $)
-go to www.pcpitstop.com and do a full system scan... when its done look at the Detailed Report and see what your computer is REALY running and it will say if its a Spyware, Virus, Required, Unknown, Or Other... Plus that site is wicked for everything else...

ok.... thats all i could think off.... as i fix peoples computers with all mentioned above....whenever i go to their house...!!!!

ok the makers of Kazaa Lite took Crappy spyware ridden Kazaa, removed the Junk, Made it better, Removed participation level, removed those stupid yellow search results, + sooo much more.... KaZaa lite is the BEST i think for dl musik, and software... (well be careful with software)-viruses some times... anyways..... try it out.... when you install it, Dont install the extra features... they make kazaa too laggy....and dont work too good.... Kazaa Lite also has a built in acelerator... Just try and u see what i mean

au.geocities.com/the_short69/Klite.zip <<<mite run out of bandwidth if everyone starts downloading this...>> THIS LINK IS MEANT FOR JONOS

i forget the site i got this from.... now anyways Kazaa Lite (some versions) cost money.... this one is FREEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

yah i really like the new shareaza because it brings up a lot more results for my searches. the only problem is that some REALLY rare files like the Nike basketball song I couldn't seem to get any good hits

Limewire isn't good because you can't really stop and resume downloads, and the interface is really confusing, much more than the clean Shareaza
