I know for comp sci and soft eng. that reference letters aren't required but if someone wrote me one for Waterloo would I just send it in with the AIF (haven't completed it yet either)? |

When I've done it, the one who writes that reference letter mails it out themselves. Though maybe my teachers just didn't trust me enough to see/modify the letter |

Would that be the same for Computational Math as well? Momentarily forget I applied for that as well. |
