Here is the story. I want to use Ubuntu on the Oracle Virtual box that I installed from their website. I am running windows 7. I needed to install an .iso image file to run ubuntu on the vm. So i went to the website to install the ubuntu file. I clicked install and selected the 32 bit flavour. It popped up at the bottom on my screen downloading... It was installing into winrar. I waited the 12 minutes for it to install the 700MiB's. After installing I opened the folder. Apparently I was supposed to see a single .iso file inside the folder that I installed. But instead I saw a ton of folders in their with random crap. The folder were named in order: .disk, boot, dists, doc, efi, install, isolinux, pics, pool presee, cdromupgrade, md5sum, README.diskdefines. Not one of those folders actually had a .iso file inside. I am very lost and I have searched google for 2 hours for an answer that I did not find. I really need some help. Can anyone here help me? I am very desperate for some help.
I tried re-installing the 700MB file again and it still gave me the same file. I really need help.
Thanks,
~QP |

Isn't the 700 mb file the iso? WinRAR will open it like a regular zip file as an iso is just another file container format. Basically you just viewed the files/folders on the cd image. |

I'm going to assume you're not retarded and downloaded the amd x64 version when you don't have an 64 bit amd cpu.
So that probably means you haven't enabled virtualization in your boot options. |
