Hey guys, for the past two weeks i feel like such a fool i wasted so much time playing diablo III and all i feel so driven away from my compiler. My love. C++. Can you guys maybe suggest me some "homework" assignments for me to do so i can 'reminisce' with my compiler? Anything you suggest is great i just want to recap. Damn diablo he made me one of his minions argh. Anyways thanks. Sorry if this is the wrong forums to put this in, but i really need help so, yea thanks! Smile

I love the irony of your title...

Write some C++ tutorial programs, that seems to help people reminisce

I'm a hobby programmer and here are my suggestions:

You could try ProjectEuler, a site where you write programs that solve mathematical problems. You get to learn some nice tricks in the process. The first few problems are not too hard if you're willing to work on them a bit. Later problems seem to require advanced mathematical training. The site rewards you with points when you write fast, correct programs.

Another site I heard about on these forums is this: http://wcipeg.com/. It seems to have several computing / maths problems, including competition material. It has a nice automatic compiler/grader system where you paste your code and it gives you points based on its memory usage, speed, and of course correctness.

Otherwise, idk, you could always try to replicate some program you've come across, like a webserver or language interpreter or whatever.
