So the engineering department sent out about 40% of their admissions a few days ago, Congratulations to all that were accepted!
I however was not question being will they still send out acceptances for your first choice in engineering, or are most of the offers to be made alternate acceptances?
Specifically, if you were accepted into software engineering, were you accepted early or late, and what was your average? |

Somehow I doubt it was quite 40% and probably closer to 25% or something like that. I was not accepted into Software yet, but as I already have acceptance to CS at Waterloo and SE was my third option which probably affected it and I doubt they even looked at my application seriously at this time.
My friend got accepted last week I believe with an average around 95% or maybe higher to SE. |

Ok, I just received my acceptance letter from Waterloo this week for SE (seems the email didn't make it for some reason). My admission average is around 95. |

Congrats!
So have you decided which program you're gonna go for? |

Well, I had discounted Software Engineering a while ago because I want to still pursue other interests on top of comp sci and that isn't an option in that program. I'm planning on going to Waterloo CS, but there is an outside chance that I end up at Toronto depending on what happens for res and scholarships |

Congrats on getting the acceptance to Software! I was wondering why someone with a mid-ninety average and good programming experience wouldn't get in. I have a 91 average and decent programming experience, so hopefully I will get accepted in May...
Or before then if anyone knows whether they send out acceptances in March/April for engineering. |

I applied to chemical engineering but I heard back the first week of April I believe. UW was the last school to get back to me. |
