Hi everyone,

I applied to Electrical Engineering, but I want to work on software with a little bit of hardware. So which one should I choose? Stick with Electrical Eng and do Software engineering option or go for computer engineering? As I read through the school's curriculum, I found that they're identical for the first two years, but Electrical Eng takes Power courses while Computer Eng doesn't which makes Electrical Eng have more options eventually.

Thank you. Any help is appreciated.

Electrical engineering deals with the design of electrical, that is, signal processing, power, circuits, etc...

Computer engineering deals with the design of computer systems, including, the integration of hardware and software.

Basically,

software focus - software engineering - computer engineering - electrical engineering - hardware focus
