This message is for all young entrepreneurs who wish to start the next Facebook or Linkedin. InnovaTeck is started by a couple young entrepreneurs from the University of Toronto. Here at InnovaTeck, we believe any successful business venture begins with an idea. Our job is to bring together the right people to make these brilliant ideas come true. Right now we have some revolutionary new ideas waiting to be developed into products and software that people will love.

We are currently partnering up with students who are familiar with website design, graphics design and web-based software development. The only criteria we are looking at is your passion, entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to start your own multibillion dollar business. We hope the people we work with are just as passionate as they are talented. Please submit your resume to talents@innova-teck.com. You will get paid in cash or stock ownership. Thank you all and we look forward to meeting you guys. =)

I don't mean this in any harsh way (please don't interpret this as such), but I don't think another Facebook is the next step in websites. It has been done, and as proven by Google even trying to surpass the likes of Facebook would be impossible.

If you want this thing to launch I suggest a mass brainstorm on something a bit more innovative, original, something that hasn't really been seen. It doesn't have to be a completely original idea, just make sure you're stepping up to bat against what's out there with enough force and creativity to shake up said market.

ramble over, apologies.

Cheers,
Leo

Mass brainstorm would never work, because most won`t post in the fear of having their ideas stolen...and everyone would want 51% of the stock.

Everyone has a "multibillion" dollar idea. It goes something like this: "lets build a <current successful service> but better and for <niche group>". (e.g. "Lets build Facebook but for dogs." True story -- http://www.dogpawfile.com/ )

Chances are that none of "these brilliant ideas" are novel enough to be worth anything on their own. There's little value in the initial idea, as ideas change. That "next Facebook" idea for Facebook was "lets rate girls for hotness in our dorm". That's not value -- direction, leadership, capital, execution are value.

Quoted for Truth. Personally, I just don't see this idea working out that well. There is no reason why we need to "reinvent" or create a "newer" version of Facebook or other social medias. People should focus on creating new medias that provide consumers with new features and experiences, not entirely based on past successes of another company.
