I've applied to UW for the computer science program with the following marks
Advanced Functions 88
Calculus and Vectors 90
Computer Science 91
Data Management 92
Chemistry 91
English 83!!!
Would anyone know if my english is high enough to get in? |

Will a computer science program really care that your English is only 83? |

UW considers English as one of the most important marks though |

I got in with an 85 in English.....I don;t see why you wont get in. Your average is pretty high , so you should be fine. |

UW isn't some kind of educational mecca exclusive only to the world's 10 smartest people (though they do probably attend), it's just another school. CS entrance average is mid-80's. You have high 80s. You'll be fine. |

Only the math/CS ones go to Waterloo. The science/humanities ones go to U of T. |

Well considering it's a negative statement, either applies. Don't place too much significance on it though, I was just pointing out that UW isn't exceptionally hard to get into. |

Does anyone happen to know when the admission 'rounds' seem to go out?
I've heard there's one in March break |

yess...my friend got into waterloo's mechanical engineering in march break with an average of 91 or 92.
but according to the mail they sent me, it said most of the offers are made around may once they process the AIFs and midterm marks carefully.
good luck |
