Here is an RPG I made as a project for a grade 12 computer science course...it's been a year since then and this is the latest version...
I guarantee you'll like it! It's not text based, its completely graphical =P
Enjoy!
..........
I just downloaded it as a test, and there seems to be a problem with the file (picture not found or something...)
Sorry about that |

when are you going to re-post the code? I love seeing other people's work, it gives me inspiration. |

i tried twice to repost the code, but the fact that the file (zipped) is 99MB i think might be the problem....hopefully this is not the problem, as i also like to see others' work so i know how you feel lol. it could be that i was trying to edit the post...i might try to just make a fresh post....if it allows it, the file should work this time...
thank you for your interest =P |

Either use 7zip to see if you can reduce the file size (7z is considerably better than zip as a compression format) or post several partial archives. You may be able to do this with 7z files or you might have to use rar files. |

99MB zipped? What's in it?
You could try compressing it at maximum in a RAR file, that'll bring it down some. |

It's not too often that someone on these forums needs to rely on an external sharing site. I'm looking forward to it! |

sooo sorry about the game....i'm gonna have to try using an external source...in the meantime, Grail Quest (the rpg) is being converted into C#...my friends think that Turing is beginning to limit the game's abilities so we are remaking it in a new language.
Sorry about the wait..i'll inform you of the link when i post it on a sharing site.
thx - Sean |

I have good news!!! Grail Quest has been posted on a sharing site called 4shared..... the link to the file is: http://www.4shared.com/dir/27277857/88cb5c9e/sharing.html
I tested the link and it works for me, so it should be accessible to any of you who wish to download it. =P
P.S.....for any of you who enjoy hax, my game can be satisfyingly hacked by Cheat Engine 5.5.....once you learn how to use it you will be able to do things like change your player's coordinates (teleport), get free gold, and free experience simply by finding variable adresses and changing the value of the variable...I'll let the Cheat Engine tutorial teach you the rest if you happen to download it lmao...hackers...... (its really easy to download...just google it and you'll get like 100 results)
Good Luck and enjoy the medieval times! |

Mind explaining why there's Radio Ga Ga.wav and it's .wma counterpart. That's a whole 60mb unneaded.
Also, how'd you get the game to not close with the X button? |

lol....wow, musta missed that one....Radio Ga Ga was going to be my credits music, I instead ended up using Night Falls On London by Mike Scott. I search the file like 3 times for unneeded crap, but I guess I missed something (2 things lol).
Restricting termination via 'X'.....
this is an option given when you create the application. I wanted it to only be closed by using the in-game exit so I selected this option.
Thx for playing|!
...and sorry about the useless 60MB....murphy's law says I have to screw up somehow |

Ah I see, I have not compiled Turing code for a long time.

There's a slimmed version. |

Edit: The above link is now dead...find the latest versions on my site...
Here is the link for my site....
http://sites.google.com/site/seanscomputerscience/
so ya...go to my site from now on to get latest version because it is easier and less messy to edit the link there than here....
thx! and remember to inform me of any glitches or anything. all feedback is greatly appreciated! =P |
