I am looking for cheep stuff from Microsoft, to do this I have heard you need to be a MSDN member.
BUUUTTT It isn't as easy as signing up, you have to be apart of a corporation, University student or something. Since I am in G11 I don't exactly qualify, what now, where should I go...
(Lol if I can... mind if Compsi is a corporation that I am a member of? |

My father is a member. It's great, we've gotten a bunch of software from Microsoft for 10$ or less |

Hence why I want to become a member. One of my father's co-workers (new university grad) got Win7 pro. for like under $40. |

I think if you start a blog that reviews Microsoft products, they'll grant you membership. |

I got it for free. Still prefer my OS X though.
I think https://www.dreamspark.com/ offers some of the software to high school students. You are not getting Win7 from there though. |
Tony's programming blog. DWITE - a programming contest. |

If you're a UW student (obviously doesn't apply to the OP...), you can get Windows 7 Pro for free (as well as several other versions of Windows) through the UWaterloo / MSDN storefront. It uses scary words like "shopping cart" and "checkout" but it's relatively simple. See here and click on "Log In" at the top left.
Until then, either work with your existing XP / Vista or try Linux or BSD or Solaris or whatever. |

I fucking love OSX. I bought a macbook pro at the beginning of this month, absolutely no going back to windows for daily computer stuff. I'm just kind of sad that I can't put it on my monstrosity of a desktop which is currently used for games and storage.
Just sayin' |

I couldn't afford a Mac, so I bought a decent computer and triple booted Hackintosh, Linux, and XP (using an external HD to store files).
If I could I would get one. |
