It's Alan Turing's birthday today (born 23 June, 1912).

For those that don't know Turing is considered to be the father of modern computer science and you can find out more about him here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Turing

Just to clear up any misconceptions, if any, Alan Turing is NOT the inventor of Turing, the now outdated proprietary programming language we all begrudgingly learned in highschool, thereby tarnishing the good Turing name. Smile

Happy B-day to the Turing that should be remembered for the name Turing.

Some of us didn't get Turing... I had Watcom BASIC for most of my high school CS days, with a little bit of Pascal at the end.
