Suggestions for Diploma Thesis/Internship in Canada

Hi Folks!

I'm studying Computer Engineering (Diploma) here in Germany. I'm very interested in Canada, since I've been there several times durng my last internship in the US.
Now it's time for me to write my Diploma Thesis to complete my studies.
I'd like to do it in Canada but I don't know much about good Companies in CA to apply to. I'd also combine it with an intership/co-op.
Since I'm studying Computer Engineering I'm not interested in someting like web-applications or design. I'm looking for companies in the technical field. Best would be something related to hardware related programming. My favorite location would be BC (in particular Vancouver area).
Can you give me some suggestions or some sites where I can get closer info?

Hello. Good luck on your quest to come to Canada. It's a pretty big place and there are a lot of resources.
