1. Anyone have any opinions on Mac CS?
2. I have roughly a 81-82 percent Avg, the cutoff is a 78-80. Am I safe? |

Also, just to add to this, is there a way I can see what University-Level CS is like, difficulty or concept wise? How hard exactly is first year? |

Look through the University website. Find out what courses students are taking, what material is covered. Some courses would have websites with assignments available.
Although first-year difficulty would largely depend on your own abilities and study habits. |

nice, i applied to mcmaster cs aswell. but i'm not 100% sure if i want to go to university for CS/CE/SE ... they updated the mark for acceptance (on mcmaster's site), on the einfo site it has it around mid 70s.
to be honest, your never safe. lol and for there course they only accept 50 people (tiny) but you've got a good shot. i too have a 82.3 average, which is about to go up =D
on another note...
what have you guys heard about mcmaster reputation for compsci ? (considering doing undergrad there and hopefully graduate at UW) and is it true they just got a new building ? |

I think I might have heard of something like that, but Universities seem to oversell their offers, expecting a certain fraction (based on historical trends, I presume) to decline. |

I got in, but I am not sure about accepting the offer; I don't know if I can handle the math content. How hard is university CS math?
EDIT: Holy crap, just realized I already asked the question about math. Oh well. Any more comments? |
