HP Card reader light always on?

I have a Hp Pavilion with an 11 in one card reader with a light that indicates if it is reading or writing.
It also lights up when the Media Center remote is in use.
Lately I have noticed it is flashing for no apparent reason.
Any ideas why this would be? |

This might be a silly question but do you have a card in it?
I have the same card reader and the light is allways on as long as there is a card in it. It does not even have to be a real card, an appator will do it too. |
