Hi guys:

I have been admitted to CS of U of T and in the admission package there is a letter called PUMP, which means Preapring for
University Math Program.(Not formal course, no credits, students who wants to go can go)

Do anyone know or have taken this course? What does this course like???

By the way, do anyone know what does first year CS course in U of T like??

From what I have seen in the 2002 web page of the program, its just basic highschool math, mostly grade 11 math. If you feel you need to re-learn a few thing in math before going into University level math go for it.

But then again, you could do that in any public library with a pre-cal book and with $600 extra for your pockets.

Admitted already? Wow, congrads!
I'm still waiting for my letter from UofT Sad
Did you have all your documents ready or did they give you a provisional offer? May I ask what was your average in math courses?

For Leela
My math average is 94, and Calculus is 96 Physics 93 and Chemistry is 84. But my english is only 63 however I have IELTS for 6.5 which also achieve the requirement.

In addition, there is a letter in the package it said my admission is conditional, they also need my final grade to be handed in before Aug 14. But they did not mention what average I should achieve, I've sent an e-mail to them but they have not applied.

Hope to see you in U OF T
Leela

Good for you for achieving such great marks!
Mine are quite a bit lower - Adv.Func. is 83 (final), but Calc. should be higher as my average in Calc. is higher than was in Adv. Func. I'm only applying for Comp.Sci., not for engineering, so I don't need Physics and Chemistry.
Hope to see you too on campus Wink
