Tony and myself have deiced that form now on all legal threats sent to CompSci.ca, dwite.org, Tony or my self about CompSci.ca or dwite.org will be posted publicly.

You may view theses threats on our wiki here: http://wiki.compsci.ca/index.php?title=Legal_Threats

The page will contain the full text of each threat sent to us and a link to the content in question and any details about how the threat was resolved if it was.

Note: Old, nonessential, overly silly, unbelievable, fake or boring legal threats maybe left out.

So theres been a slander legal threat. Just did a google search myself, and it looks like the legal threats page is now /fourth/ for that person's name. I'm interested in what kind of action you and Tony will be taking? I do recall that slander charges don't apply to the carrier(ie, you), but instead to the user that made the statements. No wait... its libel.

Just to make it 100% clear CompSci.ca is not responsible for what our users post and in no way are calamining that that post is about the same person who made the legeal threat or that we agree with or support that post at all. The post is solely the opinion of the user and is not shared by CompSci.ca, dwite.org, Tony or my self.

In any case we might remove the last name from the post (but not the legeal threat page) to be nice but we in no way acecpt any fault and bilve that we are in the right even if we did not. We are still talking to him right now so nothing has been done as of yet. Please note that unlike the lanschool one this was just a e-mail and not from a laywer.

I say ignore anything that isn't from a lawyer, and that doesn't contain specific links.

Two choices: remove the last name, or edit the post to feature your disclaimer in big red flashing letters.
