[Pictures] My Time at Carleton

So I figured since there's so many people wondering about University and such that I would put up a couple of pictures that I have of my time at Carleton.

First of all, Residence:


I live in Russell House on the 3rd floor in a traditional double "suite". Ergo I have a room mate, and we share a bathroom with the double beside us. The rooms a quite spacy compared to other double rooms I've seen (REV at UWaterloo is a cabinet compared to here), but there's only 1 outlet on each side of the room, which makes for hooking up all of my electronics... interesting to say the least:




In your room here, you get half of the closet, half of the drawers, a desk, a bookshelf, a night table and a desk chair. You also get the bed (minus linens) and the lounge chair, oh, and you get a phone too. Everything else is brought by the occupant, and as you can see, I brought alot of stuff

Of course, you can't live in a double without a roommate:



And being in residence, it's all about knowing the people that live around you, in this case my neighbors:



And, I suppose eating is a fairly important part of living too, so here's a quick picture of just a small portion of the caf (the employees didn't look too pleased as I was taking pictures in there =/)

Wow, nice place! Where is Carleton U?

My sister's place at Brock is tiny (wait, never mind, she got a house this year). My sister's old place at Brock was tiny.

Carleton is in Ottawa nestled right between the Rideau Canal and the Ottawa River.

Ooh, nice place! I went rafting on the Ottawa river!

I very much like caf, very fancy, nothing at all like my school's jail-yard caf (it is a highschool, after all). No, really, the school has a 3-story-high cafetoriam surrounded by classrooms (jail cells). There are even catwalks overlooking it! Some say it was designed by an ex-con, some say it was designed by an architect.

In fact it's between the Rideau Canal and Rideau River. The Ottawa river is what runs behind Parliment.

hmm how much english do they speak...

i went on a trip and it was almost impossible to order food

i asked for something...again (useless at french no clue as to how i passed it)...they said qui blah blah sort of got something like it will be here soon....

asked for ceaser salad. sprite. and cheeseburger and fries....i got



garden salad. yaay sprite the other cheeseburger (there were 2 different kinds of meet) and fries...not the exact kind i wanted... lol baked vs deepfreid...i wanted baked


but all in all it was food am i am not picky...so what i had to spend $5 more at least i got over half of waht i wanted in about....20 mins of trying to communicte...man i felt like such a dumbass..coldn't decipher anyhting it was like blah,blah,blah ummmm yes...merci
