|
|
when ever i connect my PSP to my computer my mouse and keyboard shutoff and the device is not recognized
BUT it does work if i connect it to a spliter where i originally plugged it into but it is soooooooo ssssslllllllooooowwwwwww
so i was wondering if someone had any advice...
please don't tell me to use goggle... i have spent 2 hours of my life wasting time on trying to figure this out
i think the problem is the drivers are assigned to that particular port... and i don't know how to change that so any pointers there either?
and another thing how do i put my PSP into "recovery mode"
specs:
PSP 2001 (slim)
firmware version 5.01
no mod chip
can be set back to default setting
no Custom firmware only Officail firmware |

Put it in a different USB? Why not put the mouse or keyboard into the one you stuck your psp into an put the psp into the one freed up by the keyboard/mouse? |

Plug the device into the computer where you know it works. Look at the device manager and right click on the device, then uninstall it. Reinstall the device on the desired port.
Also please don't use all caps in your thread titles. |

It sounds like a problem with your computer. You have to reinstall the driver. Plug the PSP into a port that works. Then right click on My Computer and click Manage. Click Device Manager and look for your PSP there under USB Controllers or something. Then just right click and Uninstall it. Unplug your PSP and plug it back in and the driver should automatically install. |

I have had problems like this befor with other usb devices. The cuase of the problem in my case was there was not enought power to run all the devices hooked up the usb card.
Althought usb can suport a tone of devices threw one card and with usb hubs it might not be providing enought power to power all the devices at once.
In my case when i hooked in a power hungery device it caused all the usb devices to disconect, the soultion was to get a usb hub with it's own power suplie. |
