| So the 80G got a price drop to $399.99 and i've read on a few sites that they would be releasing the 40G ps3 in january for $299.99 what have you guys heard ?? i know its just rumors, but what do you think... i hope so... haha =D |

| I sincerely doubt it. The current PS3 at $400 is just the old 40GB PS3 with an 80GB HDD slapped into it. Sony is currently making almost nothing on each unit as is. They might save a buck or two per unit by putting a 40GB drive in., but certainly not $100. |

| I guess you could wait. The best version of PS3 is the 60GB (North American Version) because it has the most features plus full backwards compitibility with old games. I have a 60GB. Unfortunately, they don't sell those anymore so you would have to find it online (but it would be pretty cheap and you can upgrade the HDD by slappin' in any ol' 2.5" SATA). |
