PostPosted: Fri Jun 13, 2008 2:33 pm   Post subject: Snake and a really basic encryption for the highscore list

This is a game of snake I made for my Grade 10 final project.
I threw in the highscore encryption because i was bored and was looking for something to do.

There is several places where i used really bad commenting or could have shortened the code a bit with different procedures

The instructions are built in

Note: This game is really easy on older computers even on very hard due to the lag.

Credit goes to my friend for the skull, gem, and body segment bitmaps

Buttons made with generator on www.netdenizen.com

all code created by me except for the math used for a small part in the tail segments which i got help from the "perfect following tutorial" http://compsci.ca/v3/viewtopic.php?t=17607

Comments and Criticism appreciated

I would really like some feedback

Thanks

Excellent! graphically, it's one of the best games I've seen on this site. Most people don't bother to draw buttons that are more than a box with text inside. The segments at the end of the tail don't line up quite right, but still, it is an excellent piece of work.

Wow thanks!
I didn't expect it to be that good Very Happy

About the tail I have no idea why it does that or how to fix it :S I think it is just some weird thing with the "following" code.

Awesome job man. I like the graphics, very nice interface and very clean to look at and a nice execution on the actual game itself.
