Who is getting MGS4?

MGS is a good game and all, but I really hate the trend that each console must have a "killer game"... I don't see what's so special about these games that would possibly compel someone to buy a console solely for the purpose of playing that single game. In any case, Metal Gear Solid I is the best of the series.

Well I already have a PS3 and I do agree with you. I would NEVER buy a console for the sole purpose of one game. I think killer aps died a long time ago. I bought it for many games that I love though.

I love MGS. I'm definately getting it soon. [Gandalf] I disagree, MGS 2 is the best. The story was great, though a little sloppy, the game play was solid (especially in the newly improved vr missions) The only down side was Raiden, but hey, get over it. MGS 1 was great, but the game was way too easy, even on extreme. MGS 3 had the weakest story in the series, but the online was fun while it lasted.

It all goes to personal preference. I actually preferred MGS1, when it was redone on the GameCube as twin snakes. I actually ended up playing MGS2 first...I started with the demo that came with Zone of the Enders (Great game, by the way), and had to get it...and yeah, I preferred the story line of MGS1. They're all great games, but my fav. is MGS1.

Metal Gear Solid 2, with all of the training missions. Too good.

I still play that game.

I got 100% with everyone in vr. Raiden in the ninja suit is the best.
