Take my advice: get your G1 as soon as you can.

I just got my G1 last month, and I'll be turning 18 in April. The G1 test is ridiculously easy... but because I waited I have to wait another 8 months before I can take my G2 test. Don't put it off... as much as you might think you don't need a driver's license right now, you will probobally regret everything in your final year of highschool.

Yes for sure get your G1 as soon as possible!!! I waited only 2 months after my b-day and then I waited forever to do Driver's Ed ... haha do them both asap! Because eventually you will be wanting them and you won't be able to get them :S haha
