You do have to admit turing's GUI sucks, plus if you want a more graphical GUI the built-in turing GUI is not the way to go...
I recently saw a post where someone did one of these types of things - And so I decided to dig up an old version I was working on a few years back.
I will no be providing the source code yet - but I am releasing a sample program
Tell me what you guys think. I know there is alot of things I have not included yet (many things I did start, but just removed it from this release due to the fact that they are not finished) such as rollover effects for buttons, full frames (pretty much like a window inside a window), horrizontal scroll bars, text input boxes, check boxes, option buttons, tabs, etc.
Honest opinions ans suggestions welcome.

It's a litttle glitchy:
sometimes it would load the scroll bar sometimes it gave an error saying it could not find the picture
the error message's icon dissapeared after a shrt while
the scroll bar also dissipeared after a while
my msn (to the side) went all glitchy when your prgram was runnging, after it finished msn went back to normal

o.O
I have never encountered those problems before...
I have run my program on two different computers, and have not had such problems. I will try to find out why this may be happening.

I have run it several more times, on both comps AND with several other things running, and I have not run into those problems yet.
Just some thoughts:
? Was it flashy? (like when someone doesn't use View.Update)
? Are the folders in the same directory as the program?
? Are the files/folders saved to a flashdrive? (I don't know why, but sometimes [I dont know if always] when I run a prog made in turing from a flashdrive, it doesn't work. Try saving it somewhere on your comp if this is the case)
? Still trying to come up with other reasons. Suggestions?
IF ANYONE ELSE ENCOUNTERS THESE PROBLEMS, OR OTHER ONES PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
hmm, just thought of something, probably stupid though...
I made the prog on XP, dunno if that could be some reason.

that's a relief.
Glad to see you like it, I am also working on some more cool looking styles, so I'll post another update later.
If anyone has any great ideas I would be more than happy to hear them
